A veteran from Corporate world, now retired, with 49 years of hardcore work experience in the field of man management with high degree of success, has been a keen game watcher for over sixty years now.
Himself having played the game of cricket with some degree of finesse in Kolkata during ‘60s & ‘70s, he has had naturally access to many greats who made different games, their forte. Be it Cricket, Football or Tennis, he played one game seriously, that is Cricket, the other is Tennis which has been his pastime for last forty years.
Being a strong game watcher, he has accumulated lots of fineness on these games and easily an authority though have not played the games at any high level. Well there are many instances, Nationally and Internationally, people known as s specialists, who have not played any game for that matter at all but are hailed as highly acclaimed experts.
This is a matter how seriously one watches and analyses the game. Playing a game himself is always a plus for any expert.
This process of game watching and his involvement with the game and its characters, pushed him to start writing on games initially in daily vernaculars and then in the form of books. His books : “ Cricket Adda “, “ Captains’ XI – 60 Years “, “ Tales of Cricket from the Edge of Boundary “, “ Fab Five Of Indian Football “ are highly acclaimed ones.
Besides, from his childhood, he used to recite poems, initially of Tagore, initiated by his late father, then switched in to varieties of Poets and has excelled there in too with public performances.
