Compliments of the Season.
The present scenario of working and non working professionals, including homemakers are such that each one of us are bound to undergo some kind of stress and strain. At times, these become so much in excess that one gets exasperated and resultant down mode syndrome causes disharmony in life – in family, in place of work and in social circles. Mental strength conditioners often suggest mode of methodologies to iron out these owes, yet following those at times become monotony and hence often is left before mission is accomplished.
So one is back to square one.
With that in mind, yours truly is bringing to your fore some easier methods which if practiced, must be of immense help. These are from practical experiences. Why not try out.
- If you are feeling tired ?
- Have some sleep. Deep sleep. You will feel refreshed. Unwritten law to have a deep sleep is that one must not indulge oneself to see / view anything exciting on TV or should not get fights with any one at least an hour before going to sleep. Instead, listening to good music, reading simple books, and meditation for fifteen minutes are some of the alternatives to have sound sleep.
- Has anything saddened you for any reason ?
- Listen to some music. Immediately music will act as a positive therapy. Lot of researches have been done on Music therapy. That music is perhaps the best pain healer is now beyond any doubt. Well, this music necessarily be not loud, rather be of soft nature.
- Is anything bogging you causing any Mental Pressure ?
- If it is not too late in night or not too hot in day time, go for walking. All your stress will go as you sweat it out. Even if you start pacing up and down in your home, that also will be equivalent to walking. But outside walking has an extra benefit – that is fresh air inhalation. Personally I knew quite a few famous players who used to have ‘walking’ every afternoon and when questioned, used to respond – well, this sweating was my ‘Ganga Snan’ – meaning he had a bath in the holy Ganges.
- Are you Angry ?
- Do some free hand exercise. Through exercise, one’s blood circulation gets stimulated and normal. This physical strain will flex your muscle and remove your anger. Free hand exercise enables one to loosen one’s limbs, and nerves which signals to the brain and helps one’s mind to be tranquil.
- Has anything or any one frustrated you ?
- Read some book. Positive subjects such as sports, entertainment, vedic reading will energize you instantly. Remembering one’s ‘Ista’ and chanting HIS /HER montro also helps removal of frustration and restores one’s self esteem.
- Is creating your own tension a luxury for you ? Do you take extra tension ?
- Start writing something. Whatever comes to your mind readily, go on writing on any subject. A poem, a prose or some old memoirs will pitchfork your lost energy. Old memories, when being written down, it takes one in the flow of sweetness. Your tension will vanish.
- Does anxiety cause you stress ?
- Meditate. Meditate. Meditation is ideal for removing anxiety. Meditation is not easy. One must find out a quite corner in the house, preferably wee hours in the morning or evening. Early evening and early morning hours are normally called as ‘Brahmo Muhurto’, meaning pious moments. Try to image your Idol ( Ista ) on your forehead and start thinking of that image, gradually getting the same going through your system. This will help removing your anxiety and stress.
- Do you expect very high of you and get desperate to achieve ?
- If one starts thinking of achieving something in life, one must be preparing for that adequately and then expect that to happen. However, after honestly endeavoring on one’s expectation, if that does not get happened, one must continue to remain glued at that expectation and dream on that. Continuous, sincere and harmless expectation will ultimately bring one close to that coveted goal. At least to some extent. That is positive thinking.
In this regard, the advise of Dr. Devi Shetty is very important as follows:
